Spring Time in the City – London in Bloom

Today I took a walk in Battersea Park with Henry – our inner city sanctuary and my little piece of countryside set among the concrete towers of London Town. With all the flowers beginning to bloom, I got a real sense of an awakening. It felt like the perfect analogy for what’s happening in the UK right now, as we prepare to reopen our London Shoreditch store, along with all nonessential retail on 12th April 2021. Blossoms are coming out all over the place, creating bursts of colour that are a feast for the eyes and of course, a feast for the nose!

Spring Blossoms, my latest scent creation and new for 2021 could also be described as a feast for the senses. It has a fresh citrus base of cold pressed Lemon and Lemon Grass, with Citronella adding another zesty depth – which is also known for being a natural insect repellent. May Chang blossom adds another softer floral zesty dimension and this scent is finished with my personal spring favourites, Daffodil and Hyacinth.

Walking through the park, in the distance I see the unmistakable bright yellow beaming faces of Daffodils dancing the in light breeze. I’m reminded that seeing beauty is a choice and it helps us reflect on what’s really important in our lives. It’s important to remember that we are surrounded by beauty everywhere – we just have to look for it. The power of each scent evoking my happiest memories is something I will always treasure and strive to share with as many people as possible.
